Applegreen Showcases Progress in Building a Fair, Inclusive and Future Ready Workplace
Creating a workplace where everyone can thrive requires intention, investment and a long term approach.
As Applegreen continues to grow across Ireland, the UK and the US, our commitment to fairness, diversity and opportunity remains at the centre of our people strategy.
A People Strategy Built for Long‑Term Growth
Applegreen recently highlighted its ongoing progress in building a more inclusive and supportive workplace culture. Our people strategy is evolving to ensure colleagues across every part of the business have access to development opportunities, meaningful support and clear pathways for career growth.
Today, more than 81 nationalities are represented across our teams, creating a rich, diverse talent base that strengthens our business at every level.
Key Initiatives Supporting Fairness, Diversity and Opportunity
Several initiatives introduced over the past year reflect our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace:
- The launch of Applegreen’s first women in leadership program,
- The launch of one of Ireland’s first dedicated cancer support policies
- The launch of a mentoring circle programme, helping colleagues to learn and develop and progress within their careers
- A 2025 median gender pay gap of 0.65%, reflecting how we are putting our policies into action
- Delivery of enhanced performance review cycle and unconscious bias training
- Improved employee communications and information sessions
These initiatives help ensure colleagues feel supported, valued and able to succeed at every stage of their careers.
Building an Inclusive Culture Through Policies and Everyday Actions
Inclusive cultures are built through clear systems, supportive policies and everyday behaviours. Applegreen continues to strengthen these foundations across the organisation by empowering colleagues, fostering belonging and ensuring workplace fairness is reflected in everything we do.
Looking Ahead: Continued Investment in People and Culture
We are proud of the momentum we’ve built and remain focused on what comes next. By investing in our people and our culture, we are shaping a more diverse, inclusive, and future-ready organisation.
